Dawson Springs Man Charged With Meth Possession

A Dawson Springs man was arrested after police say he dropped a bag of drugs in front of a Deputy Jailer inside the Caldwell County Courthouse Friday afternoon.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison says an investigation led to the arrest of 47-year old Ronnie Mitchell after it revealed the bag of suspected drugs he dropped was methamphetamine.
Mitchell was taken into custody and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance – meth and violations of conditions of release.
According to Assistant Chief Allison, Mitchell was appearing in court on Friday for a previous possession of meth charge.
Mitchell was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
