If you live east of Kentucky Lake you’re under a Wind Advisory Tuesday, if you’re west a High Wind Warning is in effect.
The National Weather Service in Paducah says those under the Wind Advisory could see wind gusts up to 50 MPH at times between noon Tuesday and midnight Wednesday. Meanwhile, the High Wind Warning is in effect from 10 AM to 8 PM Tuesday, with wind gusts up to 60 MPH at times.
Weather Edge forecaster David Powell says the strong winds and precipitation expected Tuesday come ahead of an unusually warm day Wednesday.
As we transition from Wednesday evening into Thursday, Powell adds severe weather will be possible.
After the cold front moves through, the high Friday will be just shy of 40° under mostly sunny skies. The temperatures will climb through the weekend.
