Caldwell Fiscal Court Hears Update on Weather Sirens

Caldwell County Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin

On Tuesday, Joey McCaslin, Emergency Management Director for Caldwell County, informed the Fiscal Court of the timeline for receiving the weather sirens that were funded through a grant.
McCaslin informed magistrates that the weather sirens are likely to be sent out either by the end of this week or by the end of the following week. He said that the weather siren in Fredonia will be located at the junction of Jones Avenue and KY 641.

click to download audioMcCaslin explained that a permit will be needed for the installation of another weather siren on South Jefferson Street and Greenwich Lane in Princeton.

Hopefully, McCaslin said the weather sirens will be operational soon.
McCaslin also informed the Fiscal Court that the Department of Transportation at the Madisonville District office had offered the county a free plotter printer.


click to download audioHe also reported that the Caldwell County Clerk’s Office has been awarded a grant to acquire a plotter printer with County Clerk Jennifer Watson-Hale noting that her office will be receiving a plat scanner.
