In the past two weeks, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has reported that three separate incidents have resulted in multiple individuals being charged with meth possession, drug paraphernalia possession, and money seizure.
According to Deputy Zackary Dunigan, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 60 in Ledbetter on Tuesday night, February 7th, around 10:30 and discovered that the passenger in the vehicle, 59-year old Joe Coomer was in possession of approximately 4.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, several prescription pills, and items of drug paraphernalia.
Coomer was taken into custody and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance over 2 grams of meth, and trafficking in legend drugs.
Deputy Dunigan reports the second drug arrest was around 1:00 Saturday morning, February 11, when a deputy stopped a vehicle driven 50-year old Tonia Epperson, of Glasgow, for suspected driving under the influence. During a search of the vehicle, Deputy Dunigan says approximately half a gram of suspected meth and drug paraphernalia were found.
Epperson was charged with DUI 2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and other traffic-related violations.
In the third arrest, Deputy Dunigan reports deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 1800 block of U.S. Highway 60 around 8:00 Tuesday night, February 14, and the driver 60-year old Donald Moore, Jr., of Marion, was taken into custody after deputies located approximately 4.4 grams of suspected meth, several items of drug paraphernalia, and $2,400 in cash believed to be proceeds from illicit drug sales.
Moore was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance over 2 grams of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, and careless driving.
