Caldwell County LTRG Elects New Leadership


The Caldwell County Long Term Recovery Group met Monday night at the Tourism Center with around 25 in attendance.
Vice Chair Lucinda Gray called the meeting to order and announced that former chair Shane Fortner has resigned and the group needed to elect a new chairperson. Katie Parker and Jill Giordano were nominated as co-chairs for the group and were unanimously elected. Vice-chair Gray continued to lead the meeting for the night.
Katie Parker updated the group on the distribution of donated goods.


click to download audioIt was announced that volunteers were needed to create an unmet needs committee and so far Joe Farless, Pat Fralick, and Heather Riley had committed to serving as well as Darrell Egbert as a consultant. More volunteers are needed to form this committee.

 
After a lengthy discussion, the group approved a new assistance request form for those who had damage from the tornado. Lucinda Gray encourages anyone with damage to apply.

The group announced the reopening of accepting Form A applications on a rolling basis as funds are available. For more information, you can contact any member of the LTRG.
