Princeton Man Charged With 2nd DUI Offense And Driving On Suspended License


A Princeton man was arrested over the weekend and charged with his second offense of driving on a suspended license, second DUI, and other charges after being stopped by police.
Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports officers stopped a vehicle driven by 51-year old Frederick O. Riley on Varmintrace shortly before 10:45 Sunday morning after they observed him operating a motor vehicle with a known suspended license.
Upon contact, officers said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Riley was taken into custody after officers conducted a field sobriety test and determined that he was reportedly under the influence of intoxicants. Police said Riley was also found in possession of marijuana and an open alcohol container.
Riley was charged with DUI 2nd offense, driving on a DUI suspended license 2nd offense, possession of marijuana, and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle.
