The Caldwell County school board heard an update at last week’s meeting about funding being sought to improve the playground along with updates about improvements at the baseball and softball fields.
Kelly Byrd, Director of Special Education and Early Childhood said she has talked to Dustin Cash, director of facilities, and Finance Officer Tammy Easley, about looking into getting prices and possible grant funding to help make the playground more accessible for students who have walkers or wheelchairs.
click to download audioThe board also heard from the Director of Food Service and Tiger Academy, Will Brown, who provided an update on the athletic fields which he said they have been working on getting the baseball field in shape.
