A Marion woman and a Tennessee man were injured in a three-vehicle wreck in Lyon County last week.
Sheriff Brent White reports Deputy Aaron O’Leary responded to the collision at the intersection of U.S. 62 East and U.S. 641 just before 7:00 Wednesday night, March 1st.
According to the deputy’s investigation, 29-year old Rebecca Clark of Marion was attempting to make a left turn off U.S. 62 onto U.S. 641, when she failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by 20-year old Gabriel Lovett of Martin, Tennessee. The impact reportedly pushed Clark’s vehicle into another vehicle driven by 63-year old Kenneth Fitzgerald of Marion, who was stopped at the stoplight on U.S. 641.
Clark and Lovett were both transported by Lyon County EMS to Caldwell County Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
