Camp Noah is coming to Princeton in June and is in need of partners and volunteers from the community.
Stacy Menser, who is helping organize Camp Noah, says this is a nationally recognized trauma and resiliency camp that brings hope and healing to elementary-aged children whose community has been impacted by disasters.
Through play, campers gain invaluable tools such as the ability to confront their fears, recognize their individual unique gifts and be able to process future challenges in life.
Lutheran Social Services and the American Red Cross are sponsoring camps across Kentucky, and Central Presbyterian Church in Princeton has been chosen to host the local day camp June 12-16, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To make the local camp a success, Menser says Central Presbyterian Church needs partners/volunteers from across the community to help with food, registration, curriculum delivery, music, drama, crafts, and more.
A Camp Noah organizational meeting will be held Sunday afternoon, March 12, at 2:00 in the fellowship hall of Central Presbyterian, located at 206 West Main Street in Princeton. If you want to help, but cannot attend the meeting, contact Stacey Menser at (270) 625-5886 or Janie Tomek at (270) 399-5645.
