Local law enforcement says a complaint of a violation of an emergency protective order led to the arrest of a Princeton man on related charges along with his 3rd DUI offense.
According to Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, officers responded to the complaint at Walmart just after 6:10 Wednesday night and found 37-year old Michael Markham asleep in a vehicle in the parking lot. He says an investigation revealed that Markham was under the influence of intoxicants. Markham reportedly told officers he knew the person on the protective order was there and they found he was parked next to the petitioner’s vehicle.
Markham was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence – 3rd offense, violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, and violation of conditions of release.
