Council Hears Updates From PEPB, Princeton Water, and Code Enforcement

Princeton Code Enforcement Officer Alan Getz

City Council was presented with board reports from members of the council who serve on the Princeton Electric Plant Board and Princeton Water & Wastewater Commission, along with an update from code enforcement.
Councilman Jim Joiner, a member of the Princeton Electric Plant Board, praised crews that worked tirelessly to restore power after Friday’s storms and excessive winds knocked out power across the city.

click to download audioCouncilwoman Pat George, who serves on the Princeton Water & Wastewater Commission, reported that the board had approved a bid for a vac truck at a special called meeting.


click to download audioCity Council also heard from Princeton Code Enforcement Officer Alan Getz who announced that he had received a report that this past month was pretty successful. He noted they were able to close multiple cases due to compliance.


click to download audioAt the last Code Enforcement meeting, Getz noted they are looking to take more serious action against those who are repeat offenders.


click to download audioGetz was hired as a part-time code enforcement officer in the Fall of 2022 by Princeton Fire Chief Brent Francis, who also serves as the code enforcement administrator.
