A Princeton man was arrested on child sexual abuse charges after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch reports 51-year old Tommy Hall was charged with seven counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old and twenty counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old. The charges are Class-C felonies punishable by five to ten years in prison.
According to the KSP Electronic Crime Branch, the investigation began after it was discovered the suspect was sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The investigation resulted in a search warrant at a residence in Princeton on Monday, where state police said equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
Hall is lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. According to the jail’s website, Hall was also charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and receiving stolen property – a firearm.
