A Fredonia teen was transported to a Paducah hospital after a rollover wreck in Princeton Friday morning.
Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports officers responded to the collision near the 500 block of Marion Road shortly before 4:00 a.m.
He says the investigation revealed that 17-year old James D. Cotton was traveling westbound on Marion Road when the car crossed over the on-coming lane, ran off the roadway, and struck an embankment causing it to roll over several times before coming to a rest on its side.
Cotton reportedly told officers that the collision occurred because he fell asleep. The teen reportedly said that he was wearing a seatbelt.
Assistant Chief Allison says Cotton was transported by Caldwell County EMS to Baptist Health in Paducah for apparent injuries.
