Despite the current shortage of school bus drivers, Dustin Cash, the Caldwell County Schools Director of Transportation, told school board members during Monday night’s meeting that he’s going to be optimistic.
Right now, according to Cash, they are running double routes due to a lack of drivers and he’s working on eliminating some routes.

click to download audioIn addition to the transportation update, Cash, who also serves as Facilities Director, provided an update about the elementary school renovation which he stated was progressing.

click to download audioAccording to Cash, the safety vestibules will go out for bids next week for all the schools and once they get those back they will move forward.
