A Cadiz man who was arrested and charged in connection to a burglary in Caldwell County earlier this week is back behind bars after officers responded to a complaint of an intoxicated male at the Probation and Parole office on Wednesday.
According to Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, 35-year old Rexford Music was taken into custody around 2:45 Wednesday afternoon and charged with public intoxication and violation of conditions of release.
Shortly before 6:00 p.m., Allison says officers responded to the jail for a report of an inmate having fentanyl after a deputy overheard Music telling another inmate that he had the drug on him. The contraband was reportedly found in his pants and seized.
Music was also charged with first-degree promoting contraband and first-degree possession of a controlled substance 2nd offense drug unspecified. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
On Monday, Music and 27-year old Andrea Brown of Swamp Branch were arrested by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office in connection to a burglary in the 9000 block of Cadiz Road.
