Flood Watch Issued Thursday Night To Saturday Morning

The National Weather Service in Paducah has expanded a Flood Watch, originally issued for far western Kentucky.
The watch is in effect from 7:00 Thursday night to 1:00 Saturday morning for all of western Kentucky. The NWS says flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. Two to four inches of rainfall is expected with higher amounts possible.
Excessive runoff is expected to result in the flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Some areas may experience more widespread and significant flash flooding with road closures and washouts, water entering normally dry areas, and dangerous travel conditions.
