A Dawson Springs man was indicted by the Caldwell County Grand Jury this week on charges of drug possession and violating the conditions of his release.
47-year old Ronnie Earl Mitchell was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and violation of conditions of release.
Mitchell was arrested in February after Princeton Police reported he dropped a bag of drugs in front of a deputy jailer inside the Caldwell County Courthouse. Police said the suspected drugs he dropped was methamphetamine.
At the time of his arrest Mitchell was reportedly appearing in court for a previous meth possession charge.
Mitchell remains lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
