A section of KY 295/Lake Barkley Drive in the Old Kuttawa area of Lyon County will be closed Monday through Friday in order to allow state highway crews to replace a culvert and box drain.
District 1 spokesman Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet indicates this closure will be near the 2-mile marker between 5th Street and 6th Street in the Old Kuttawa area in Lyon County near the east entrance to the Kuttawa Harbor Marina.
He says the road is expected to be closed promptly at 8 a.m. Monday with expectations to reopen to traffic late in the day on Friday.
According to Todd, both ends of this section of KY 295 connect to U.S. 62. He says residents should take note of the closure point and determine which end of KY 295/Lake Barkley Drive provides the best access to their location.
There will be no marked detour and passenger vehicles may self-detour via side streets. Trucks making deliveries should contact customers to determine which end of KY 295 to enter to reach their destination.
Todd says the best access to the Kuttawa Harbor Marina and HuB’s is via the KY 295 connection to U.S. 62 West of the Interstate 24 Exit 40 Interchange.
