Two Juveniles Injured In Lyon County Collision

Two juvenile passengers were transported to a Madisonville hospital after a two-vehicle wreck in Lyon County on Saturday, April 1st.
Sheriff Brent White reported on Monday that  Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to the collision shortly before noon on April 1st at the intersection of US 62 West and Days Inn Drive.
According to the investigation, an SUV driven by 20-year old Jatorion Civils of Madisonville was westbound on US 62 when a pickup truck in front of him driven by 53-year old Rhonda Abdulla of Castle Pines, Colorado changed lanes abruptly, which reportedly caused Civils to take action to avoid a collision. Instead of colliding with the Abdulla vehicle, Deputy Adams reported Civils’ SUV collided with another pickup truck driven by 41-year old Matthew Daniel of Nashville, who was stopped at the traffic light on Days Inn Drive and waiting to turn onto US 62 West.
According to the sheriff’s office, two juvenile passengers in the Civils’ vehicle were transported to Baptist Health in Madisonville for injuries.
Additionally, Deputy Adams charged Civils with no operator’s license, failure to provide proof of insurance, and possession of marijuana.
Deputy Adams was assisted at the scene by the Kuttawa Fire Department and Lyon County EMS.
