Motorists need to be aware of a daytime work zone lane restriction along U.S. 641 in Lyon County on Monday and Tuesday to allow bridge deck repairs to the P&L Railroad Overpass between Eddyville and Fredonia.
District 1 spokesman Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the lane restriction on U.S. 641 is about 1/2 mile north of the U.S. 62 intersection in Eddyville.
This work zone is expected to be active from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., each day.
Motorists should be prepared for one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Todd indicates some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
