The Caldwell County Conservation District held the annual tree distribution at their office on Traylor Street on Tuesday morning.
Arthur Dunn with the Conservation District was pleased with the turn out to pick up the trees.

District Technician Hannah Feagan shared they schedule the give-a-way in conjunction with Earth Day.
click to download audioThis is the 3rd year Feagan has been a part of the program and already has plans for next year.
click to download audioAccording to Feagan the trees came from the Kentucky Department of Forestry.
click to download audioThere were 32 birdhouses built by the high school agriculture department and they were gone shortly after 8:00 am. The 100 each Dogwood and White Pine trees were gone by 9:00 am. At the end of the day, the remainder of the trees were picked up except a few of the Oak trees that were still available.
