U.S. Congressman James Comer shared his latest concerns, including what investigations they are continuing to work on in the House Oversight Committee, during a Monday conversation with Your News Edge.
Among those concerns are illegal business dealings that involve President Joe Biden’s family. Comer said he feels like he’s the only person investigating the issue.
He added that he hopes to create and pass legislation that clearly defines influence peddling.
Comer said another issue is wasteful spending that continues in the United States. He added that Republicans are the only adults in the room during the latest conversations, and something has to change.
Comer said mainstream media continues to attack him and other Republicans who want less federal spending, calling them cruel.
Comer, the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said they are also investigating the Afghanistan withdrawal that led to the deaths of 13 servicemembers and left behind millions of dollars of equipment. It was completed on August 30, 2021.
