Caldwell National Honor Society Recognizes Student Leaders


The National Honor Society of the Caldwell County High School recognized students leaders at the school on Tuesday. The program was part of National Student Leadership Week and included a meal catered by Ms Piggy’s BBQ.
Leigh Ann Morris is the advisor for the local NHS and was glad for the club to recognize students chosen by their individual groups as leaders.

click to download audioThe featured speaker was Jason Clark the assistant superintendent of the Caldwell County School District. He expressed his appreciation to be able to interact with the students and shared his path to leadership.

Clark believes it is important for students to become leaders as early as possible in the school district.


click to download audioJamus Carneyhan is a senior and one of the students recognized. He said it felt good for your hard work to be noticed and it is important to be good leaders for other students.


click to download audioHigh School Principal Aaron McClung ended the program offering his thoughts on leadership. He told students that leadership is not a reward but it is a responsibility and it is important to lead in a positive way.
The recognition included students from all grades of the high school.
