Sanctuary, Inc. has announced its new SAFE Room is officially open.
Executive Director Heather Lancaster tells Your News Edge SAFE stands for sexual assault forensics exam.
Lancaster adds they have partnered with medical professionals to bring this added care to Sanctuary’s clients, victims, and survivors Monday through Friday each week.
She says the exam should happen when the victim is ready for that phase.
