The local T-Mobile store is joining WPKY as a Community Partner to help raise funds and supplies for the upcoming summer season for King’s Kitchen.
King’s Kitchen provides meals for local students during the summer months when meals from the schools are not available at no cost for those involved. The program has been organized by Lee Anne Gilkey for several years and is operated through Southside Baptist Church.
WPKY FM 103.3 is hosting a fundraising day on Wednesday, May 31st to benefit the local group. There will be a drop-off section open in front of the radio station for the public to stop by and make a donation of food products or cash to be used to purchase items needed. T-Mobile has stepped up to assist the effort and will also be on-site to offer their support and help in the collection.
David Lewis serves as the general manager of the local store and is glad to help in the community service project and will also have information available about the services they offer.
