During his Thursday “Team Kentucky” update, Governor Andy Beshear announced grant funding for 16 projects across the Commonwealth — using rubber mulch to build walkways, playgrounds, benches, picnic tables and more for communities.
Among those selected include Hopkins County and Dawson Springs, which will receive $35,000 for a poured-in-place playground in the Dawson Springs City Park.
The funding comes through the Energy and Environment Cabinet’s Waste Tire Trust Fund.
