Caldwell Animal Shelter Hosting Two Adoption Events

The Caldwell County Animal Shelter, which at one point recently had 41 dogs inside its 18 kennels, will be hosting adoption events this Saturday and next.
Jess Smith, who does a little bit of everything at the shelter, tells Your News Edge the first event will be Saturday at Tractor Supply in Princeton.

The adoption event at Tractor Supply will take place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday. If you are not looking to add to the family, you can leave a monetary donation to help with the upkeep of the shelter.
Shelter director Jaime Waylon says it is expensive to take care of the animals.

Another adoption event will take place Saturday morning, June 24, beginning at 10:00, at the shelter located on Baker Hill Road, behind City-County Park.
During that event, Waylon says you will be able to meet the larger dogs.

She adds they do their best in matching a dog to the lifestyle of the people interested in getting one.

Waylon says if you come across a stray dog at your home, you can reach out to them via Facebook.

The shelter still has dogs that were found following the December 10, 2021, tornado. For more information on adopting or donating to the shelter call (270) 365-1000.
