Caldwell County 4-H Embraces Strong Week

Caldwell County 4-H has a lot to celebrate this week.

Emma Koscho and Knolin Lewis were two of only 40 individuals in the state to receive the 4-H Gold Achievement Award. And the Caldwell County 4-H Livestock Judging Team made a visit to the state’s 4-H Livestock Judging Contest in Lexington.

This group brought home awards for Champion Senior Team and Third Place Junior Team, with Noah Peake, Candy Adams, Jenny Birrell-White and Charlotte Cotton assisting.

Individual awards included Laken White with 3rd High Individual Senior Overall, Addeline Conger as 9th High Individual Senior Overall, Evan Cotton as 12th High Individual Senior Overall, Karoline White as 7th High Individual Junior Overall, Xavier Flowers as 3rd Place Rookie of the Year, Kynleigh Scott as 2nd in Cattle, and Charlie Conger 10th in Cattle.

Caldwell 4-H agent Rhonda Jewell gave special thanks to Larissa Tucker, Velvet Barnett and Ann Leed for making this years contest possible, and Kevin Laurent and James Noah Peake for the time and dedication they spent preparing the youth for competition.
