Caitlyn Hooks Passes On Miss WKSF Crown

When Karlie Holmen of Gilbertsville was crowned the Miss Western Kentucky State Fair Saturday, it brought to an end the year-long reign of Lyon County’s Caitlyn Hooks, who passed on her crown to the Marshall County High School junior.
It’s been a busy year for Hooks, both on the pageant circuit and as a 2023 graduate of Lyon County High School.


click to download audioAfter finishing in second place at the Miss Kentucky County Fair Pageant earlier this year, Hooks will get a chance to claim the crown again in January. She won the Miss Scott County Fair pageant which automatically qualifies her for the state pageant.
She said the experience she gained last year should help her at this year’s state pageant.
