After careful consideration from HR Ministries and other partners, Summer Slam will return this year with a different date.
Director Harrell Riley tells Your News Edge there have been numerous discussions about the future of the show.
Riley adds this year the show will be Sunday, September 10, and will be tied in with the Black Patch Festival – which occurs the day before. This is a return to the show’s roots, in a way, and will feature some popular artists in the Christian music world.
Riley says HR Ministries does not want to get rid of the festival, they are just trying to make everyone involved more comfortable.
