Create Princeton To Present Live Theater Performance Friday


The Create Princeton group is providing a unique opportunity to local middle school students this week that will end with a live presentation Friday.
The group has partnered with Playhouse in the Park, out of Murray, to offer a week-long training program to students who entering the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades this year.
The staff from the Murray production company is working with local volunteers at the high school campus to give instruction in preparing for a live show and teaching the students how to improve their talents.
Phyllis Herring from Create Princeton serves as chairperson for the weeklong activity and shared the students are learning parts of three Broadway plays.

Jaydon Lamb, one of the students participating in the program, said she enjoys acting, arts, and singing.

click to download audioThe students will showcase their accomplishments with a free performance at noon on Friday at the Fine Arts Building at Caldwell County High School. Herring invites everyone to come out and enjoy the show.


click to download audioThis is the second year Create Princeton has offered this program and they plan on continuing the tradition next summer. It’s available to any Caldwell County student that will be entering middle school for the upcoming school year and is free. She encourages parents to plan to enroll their students and help promote the arts in our community.
Create Princeton is a local group of individuals who have committed to bringing art, music, and theater back as an important part of the community.
