Comprehensive List Of Area Firework Celebrations

The days before the 4th of July holiday on Tuesday is packed full of area firework shows that you can watch for free this year.
Events started out Friday night across the region, but there are still plenty of chances to catch a show near you:
 

  • B.R. Knuckles Insurance Agency is again stepping up to host downtown Elkton’s celebration. Activities will get underway at 5:00 Monday evening on Elkton’s town square. More information here.

 

  • The Pembroke Freedom Celebration happens Monday, beginning at 6:00 at 144 South Main Street. It will include a concert from Todd County native Corey Farlow. More information here.

 

  • Thunder in the Valley in Fredonia will start events beginning at 6:30 PM Monday. More information here.

 

  • Fort Campbell’s Independence Day celebration will be the most star-studded event around the region Tuesday. Before fireworks are ever set off at 10:00 PM, a concert with opening act Cassadee Pope will start at 6:00, Stone Temple Pilots will take the stage at 7:00, and closing out the concert will be Lynyrd Skynyrd at 8:30.   • The City of Princeton’s DuncFest will bring fireworks to the city once again. Family-friendly activities will begin around 5:30 PM Tuesday on Park Avenue behind Hydro-Gear. More information here.

 

  • Hopkinsville’s Red, White, and Ooooh! 4th of July celebration will take place at Ruff Park. Activities like bouncers, balloon art, face painting, dunking booth, field games, and more, will begin at 6:00 PM, with the first “BOOM” set for 9:15. WHVO 96.5 and 100.9 and the free WHVO app will provide the Patriotic Music for the show beginning at 9:00 PM Tuesday. The music is brought to you by Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation.
