Starting on Wednesday, a contractor working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin an asphalt paving project on a section of Kentucky 293 in Lyon County.
The designated work zone for this project stretches from the intersection of Kentucky 93, and continues eastward through the Interstate 24 Eddyville-Princeton Exit 45 interchange, all the way to the 1-mile marker. This work zone encompasses the intersections with the eastbound and westbound ramps at Exit 45, as well as the intersections with Kentucky 818 North and South.
Motorists are advised to remain vigilant as they navigate through this area, as one-lane traffic will be in effect. The flow of traffic will be controlled by flaggers, resulting in alternating traffic patterns. Some delays may occur during the movement and placement of equipment required for the project.
Weather permitting, the work is estimated to be completed within a span of three days.
