A child abuse charge has been filed against a Princeton man following an incident that occurred on Emmett Street Saturday morning.
According to the Princeton Police Department, they received a report of a domestic disturbance in the vicinity of the 100 block of Emmett Street around 11:00 AM.
Upon arrival, officers encountered 28-year-old Patrick J Woodruff. Upon conducting a thorough investigation, it was discovered that Woodruff allegedly grabbed a seven-year-old child by the throat, resulting in visible marks on the child’s neck. Woodruff put up resistance when the officers attempted to apprehend him, leading to charges of fourth-degree assault – child abuse and resisting arrest.
