Tennessee Valley Authority recently celebrated its 5,000th home upgraded through the Home Uplift program.
TVA North Regional Vice President Jason Maierhofer says the Home Uplift program is sponsored by TVA and partners with local power companies to provide free energy upgrades to qualifying residents.

Not only do the upgrades save homeowners around 25% on their electric bills, but they conserve a large amount of energy has well, Maierhofer adds.
