The tickets for Kentucky’s gubernatorial races are coming into focus after Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman officially filed for reelection Tuesday morning at the State Capitol in Frankfort.
Coleman was joined by public school educators at the press conference as she filed to join Governor Andy Beshear on the Democratic ticket. Coleman is the fifth woman to serve as Kentucky’s Lt. Governor and will be looking to become the first woman to serve two terms.
Republican challenger, Daniel Cameron is set to announce his Lt. Gov. choice at a Wednesday morning media conference in Frankfort.
