The tickets for Kentucky’s gubernatorial races have come into focus this week after the Lt. Governor’s choices were made known.
Republican candidate and current Attorney General Daniel Cameron chose Henderson state senator Robby Mills as his running mate Wednesday morning. Mills is a former Henderson city commissioner who was elected to the state house in 2016. He is currently in his first term serving Henderson, Hopkins, Union, and Webster counties.
On Tuesday, Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman officially filed for reelection at the State Capitol in Frankfort.
Coleman was joined by public school educators at the press conference as she filed to join Governor Andy Beshear on the Democratic ticket. Coleman is the fifth woman to serve as Kentucky’s Lt. Governor and will be looking to become the first woman to serve two terms.
