The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center needs your blood and they are giving you several opportunities over the next month to make that happen.
The SOS Community Blood Drive will be next Tuesday through Thursday, July 25-27 at the center at 1902 South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville.
Robyn Shively with the blood center said SOS stands for Save Our Summer — a time when blood needs reach its yearly peak for several reasons.

Shively is hopeful that people will channel their inner Dale Faughn when it comes time to consider donating. The retired Caldwell County educator and World War II veteran has consistently donated blood for nearly 50 years and is closing in on his 300th pint of blood given.

After next week’s event, there will be a bloodmobile at the Princeton Walmart on August 4 from 10-4 and a blood drive at the Cerulean Baptist Church fellowship hall on August 9.
