Saturday brought around 116 Christmas-themed boats to Lake Barkley for the 2023 Christmas in July Marina Crawl.
The Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce distributed a large amount of prizes throughout the day, including $2,000 worth of cash prizes and a large number of gift cards.

Crouch says gift cards were donated by local businesses and board members. Participants were entered to win through receipts from supporting local businesses.

As for the boat decoration contest, the Burns and Howard families won with their “Baby It’s Warm Outside” boat.
WPKY’s Bill Booth, Heather Riley, and Nolia Williams also made guest appearances on the lake, stamping passports and reporting live from the water throughout the afternoon.
The night ended with fireworks over Holiday Hills Resort.
Crouch says all in all, the 2023 Marina Crawl was a huge success — she thinks next year’s crawl will be even bigger.
