Caldwell County Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin announced at Tuesday morning’s fiscal court meeting that a cooling center will be opening to help residents beat this week’s heat.
McCaslin said he requested a cooling center be opened at the courthouse due to the National Weather Service’s forecast of hot, heat days the next five days.
