Plans are underway for the annual Dotson Days celebration in Princeton.
Paulette Gray with Community Disciples says Dotson Days will kick off Thursday, Aug. 3 with the organization’s annual awards banquet at 6:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church. Marcia Johnson will join the ceremony as its guest speaker.

Friday will bring a back-to-school supply drive for grades K-12 at 3:00 p.m., youth activities like kickball and tug-of-war at 4:00 p.m., then DJ in the Park from dusk until 10:00 p.m.
On Saturday, the 3 on 3 youth tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. The tournament is for grades 3-5 and 6-8 and is free to the public. The adult tournament, however, has an entrance fee.

Soul in the Pocket, the same band from last year, will be returning to Dotson Days Saturday with a performance at 3:00 p.m.
Gray says there will be a few more activities during the weekend.
