Portion Of KY 91 South Reopened Following Gas Leak

A portion of KY 91 South reopened around 5:00 PM outside of Princeton following a natural gas leak Thursday morning.
According to Princeton Fire Chief Brent Francis, the road was closed between Hutson, Inc. and the Rogers Group Rock Quarry due to “a major gas leak.”

The fire department was first called to the scene around 9:30 Thursday morning.
Motorists are asked to use an alternate route. A detour is in place courtesy of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Atmos Energy was on the scene.
Atmos reminds customers that if you smell gas, leave the area, and call 1-866-322-8667. Also, remember to always call 811 before any digging project. It is a free service and the law in Kentucky.
