On Friday, July 28, 2023, Jesus welcomed Jerry T. Seay to his heavenly home. He was an account executive with Lamar of Paducah, but Jerry’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident in his dreams to someday open his own business. Jerry was a member of Christ Tabernacle in Princeton, Ky. His love for the Lord and passion for travel lead him to serve on several mission trips including Jamaica, Costa Rica, and Mexico, where his ability to connect with and accept others without discrimination made him approachable and loved. Jerry (aka Jer-Bear) was well known for his magnetic personality and held the title of “friend” by many.
He was a loyal confidant and was always willing to lend a listening ear or helping hand to those he loved. Throughout his 24 years of life, Jerry exuded a desire to live it to the fullest. His constant pursuit of adventure and new experiences led him to Chicago where he enjoyed living “the big city life” for several years. Jerry dreamed to pursue his ambitions in the larger world. His dreams on earth have been surpassed in his new home and he is surrounded by the love of heaven.
Jerry was a loving son, trusted brother, and devoted uncle. His survivors include his mother and stepfather, Donna and Tom Hines, Calvert City, KY; his father, John Seay, Kuttawa, KY; two brothers, John Mack Seay and wife, Marley, Benton, KY and Joshua David Seay and wife, Lauren, Kuttawa, KY; one nephew, Drake and three nieces, River, Iva and Oakleigh (due to arrive in September).
Visitation will be Monday, July 31, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville and on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Troy Jent officiating. Burial will follow.
