Kuttawa Man Charged With DUI And Drug Possession

A complaint about an intoxicated person at an Eddyville business led to the arrest of a Kuttawa man on DUI and drug charges last week.
Sheriff Brent White reports the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Eddyville Police Department responded to the call just before 5:00 Friday afternoon. He says an investigation revealed 45-year old Jessie O’Bryan was driving a mini-SUV when he nearly collided with another vehicle at the gas pumps. O’Bryan then reportedly got out of the vehicle and went inside the business where it was reported he caused a brief disturbance.
O’Bryan was located in the store and taken into custody by Sheriff White. He was charged with DUI-1st Offense, no insurance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Sheriff White, O’Bryan was later transported to Mercy Health Hospital by ambulance due to his level of intoxication and other possible health issues.
