Two Caldwell County Residents Arrested On Indictment Warrants


Two Princeton residents indicted by the Caldwell County Grand Jury were arrested in Marshall County this week.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office reports that 38-year old Andrew Burks and 28-year old Whitney Thatcher were taken into custody Tuesday on an indictment warrant issued out of Caldwell Circuit Court. Burks is charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by unlawful taking $1000 or more but under $10,000, and persistent felony offender. Thatcher was charged with complicity on the same charges with the exception fo the persistent felony offender offense.
Burks was arrested on an indictment warrant issued out of Marshall Circuit Court on charges of receiving stolen property $10,000 or more and trafficking in stolen identities.
The pair were taken into custody in May by the Princeton Police officers after an investigation into forged checks, which led them to burglaries involving two storage units, local businesses, and Baker’s Auto.
Police said detectives also discovered stolen property that had been pawned in Paducah.
