Marilyn Hooks was honored with a retirement reception Thursday afternoon with 50 years of dedicated service to the University of Kentucky Research and Education Center in Princeton.
Over her career, she held various responsibilities including Secretary to the Staff, keeping files, preparing newsletters, and pretty much everything that happened at the local facility.
She remembers after graduating from Caldwell County High School she learned of the job at the Research Center and applied for the position that became her career.
