Dawson Springs Man Charged With Meth Possession

A Dawson Springs man was arrested on multiple charges including meth possession after a traffic stop in Providence Wednesday night.
According to the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, 44-year old Tony Dees was stopped after a deputy on patrol observed a vehicle with the rear license plate not illuminated. During the traffic stop, the deputy found that Dees had two outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Hopkins County. Dees was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle was conducted after K9 Kora alerted to the presence of narcotics. Authorities reportedly recovered a quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were recovered.
Dees was lodged in the Webster County Jail on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance 1st offense (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, rear license plate not illuminated, and two counts of contempt of court (Hopkins County).
