After working nearly 25 years in the Caldwell County Circuit Clerk’s Office, Christie Storm has taken over the head position. During a special ceremony inside the Caldwell County Courthouse, Storm was sworn in by 56th District Judge Jamus Redd Friday morning. Storm told Your WPKY News Edge she has mixed emotions about taking over the position.
Her predecessor, Danny Hooks, who served in the position for over 16 years – said Storm is the right person for the job.
As for his plans for retirement, Hooks said he wants to slow down for a while.
As for changes in the office, Storm added there will not be any right away.
Storm said she’s been blown away by the support from the community since it was announced she would assume the position.
Storm was selected by Circuit Judges Jamus Redd and Natalie White to assume the role of Caldwell County Circuit Court Clerk and will hold the position through at least January 2025. She plans to run for a full six-year term during the 2024 election cycle.
