This year’s “See You At The Pole” event will be held Wednesday in Caldwell County.
The program is designed for youth to be able to meet before school around the flagpole and spend time in prayer before the school day begins. Southside Baptist Church Student Minster Josh Drake said this is part of a nationwide event held annually.
Students will be gathering at Caldwell County’s middle and high school flag poles at 7:15 a.m.
Drake explained that anyone can attend and there is no pressure to pray out loud.
He added this event has been held for many years and is not denominational-based. They welcome all youth to attend.
Drake said he hopes to see teachers and administrators join the students for this time of prayer.
He asked that those in the community pray for the students as they take a stand and show their faith in God to their fellow students.
