A Princeton man who reportedly fled from police after a traffic stop last month was arrested on a warrant Tuesday afternoon.
According to Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, 29-year old Seth Williams was taken into custody shortly before 1:15 p.m. on a Caldwell County Arrest Warrant charging him with second-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle.
Police say the charges stem from a traffic stop on West Main Street on September 23 where Williams stopped in the CVS parking lot for police and as officers approached him, Williams fled in the vehicle. Williams then abandoned the vehicle on Centennial Drive and fled on foot. Officers reportedly observed open alcohol containers in the vehicle and were unable to locate Williams that night.
Williams was also charged with a violation of conditions of release.
